What is the internet?

And if all people around the world were in the same village...

The Internet is like a big village where each user can share ideas, experiences, information. It is a global system of communication and information that offers to you, the possibility to be spectator and also actor of this network.

For many people, the internet is a second social life where you can meet people through chat, forums or websites such as My space.

Internet has become a new tool of socialization.

The internet from the network Arpanet was born in 1960 in the U.S..

Initially, the idea was to create a network connection between remote computers to be able to notify in case of attack. This new network was mainly used for scientific purposes.

In the early 1980s, ARPANET was a tool of the U.S. administration.

Then, in the early 1990s, the internet became a network accessible for everyone.

Today the internet offers the opportunity to access any information, to correspond with someone who has an e-mail account, or call directly via Skype to discuss a topic in a forum, to share experiences or information on a personal website, on a blog or a page from a sharing site. It is a tool for multiple uses: professional, leisure, research, communication, etc.
