Website in Internet Explorer

I have changed the design of the website.

With the new style it should be possible to access the website in all browsers.

Please test it in your Internet Explorer and write a comment with the version of the Internet Explorer and your Operating System wether it worked or not.

I have tested it with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP professional and it looks like this:

Restructuring the site

As we discussed long time ago, I finally restructured the menu of the site a bit. the aim was to channel visitors interest directly to what we have produced: the course, the books and to learners corner.

Therefore, I created a new page "About" and sublink the project description, partners, dissemination and evaluation. There is no change in the procedure of adding dissemination activities.

Let me know, what do think about these changes.

uploading photos

Have managed to upload most of the shepherd's crooks photos on to Welsh Group images...been having a terrible time with internet connection so it has taken 4 hours to do a few photos. Will try and shift them into the How-to-course of the same name soon...ver frustrating and my learners have lost patience with waiting for the internet to work!!!!

loading photos

Having a terrible ICT day!!! There is a problem with loading photos now...so I am going away for a few hours and will try again tomorrow!!!! So annoying and frustrating...an issue named by most of our learners as one of the reasons they give up on using IT...today I understand their problem!!!

strange things happening

Hi All

I'm not sure what's happening on the project's home page...Italian honey making pages have replaced the research book and I cannot find where the research pages have gone...other things are disappearing / moving to strange places!!!

how-to courses and changes on website

I am back in the office since yesterday and try to work off all the stuff I have to do now. As you probably have seen, we inserted a categorisation into the courses. Whenever you create now a course, you have to choose the category (ICT or How-to?) and your language. Partly I did, but please check when editing your courses. Also, we integrated a very good image gallery in the course module. I already use it in the "How to sew a skirt?" course.

As I told you, I was working with my German group last week.
We filled the first chapters in the "How to sew a skirt?" course. Really, it is hard work but at the same time, very satisfactory and I enjoyed the workshops with my learners.
They are so passionate when they are talking about the things they love, even though not all want to use a computer. But at least, they made some pictures, first time in their life with a digicam! Thus I realized, how difficult it is for them because of the size of the camera, all is so small and smart, but nor really appropriate for old hands. However, they made it and they lost a bit of their fear to use such a "smart" tool.

We will continue our work on that course in December.

Logo and other things

The poll is closed, we have a decision regarding the logo: 3 votes for number 5, 2 for number 6. We will make a new layout for the website which fits to logo number 5.

And else, I am a bit confused about the project work, because:

  • I haven't received a contract
  • I haven't got the first payment
  • I do not know how other partners are working on the topic "learning in later life", how they work with their learners, what they do expect from me reagrding website and ICT courses

I guess, only Shan and me will attending the project meeting in Tolmezzo, all others are disappeared.

Really frustrating!

Logo and website design

In between we do have 6 logo proposals. I would like to have an definitive decision about the logo. Therefore I created a poll and posted on the main page.

partner and group membership

Hi Christine

My colleague Susannah has been trying to sign in to the site but is having difficulty. It says it already recognises her but wont accept her password. Can you reset her membership, she needs to be one of the Bangor partner staff just like Sheila. Thanks ever so much.
