The Romanian learners restarted their learning activity and meet for a new ICT course. They want to continue learning more and become mentors for others as well. Being part of different groups, they spared the information about the D2L project. Now we have a lot of people that want to join our group and thing how to divide them into different series and organised EN and ICT courses for them.

The learners feel now empowered to try different new experiences and remained very close to the organisation.

The last two days I checked, corrected, complemented and reordered all ICT courses except the "how-to-use-a-digital-voice-recorder" and the "how-to-use-mobile-phones" course.

So far, there were only some Romanian translations. I reordered also the existing translations and I already informed Tina to check the changed content and change also the translation.

I did the correction because of some inaccuracies and changed some content into a more general view. I thought that might be necessary to do as we all want to use these courses further.

Some important points are not included (formats and sizes of digital content), but that we can add later, in the houses project

The two courses I haven't changed, are, for my understanding, technically not really up-to-date anymore. I guess, our learners know in principal what a mobile phone is, we should not underestimate them. What is described there is old technology, still in use but it might be better to describe the meaning of smart phones then old fashioned mobile phones.

I hope you agree on what I have done and it will help the project.

Dear all,

We adapted our programme to the summer sonny days and well deserved vacations. On the 3ed of July we had another ICT course and the learners become motivated in learning even more. We also manage to translate some of the How to courses that they mage and upload them on the website. During the next period we will organise individual meetings with them in order to upload all the translations - How to courses in English. Wish you all a wonderful summer holiday!

Dear all,

The Romanian learners have met last week for another ICT course. The group worked in Microsoft Office - Word and Power Point. During this period we also experimented how to post blog entries on the website. Tina

We think, we can make you a more sophisticated proposel regarding the visibility of our courses in all languages.

On each home page on the right is a block with shows randomized courses in all languages. If you like that, we could delete the phrases we created in Wales under the menu link "Courses", I think. Let me know please, what you think about.

Friday, 9th of April we met with our learners and had the 2 hour - ICT course. The course was held at our organisation. We discussed about Internet, how sites work and about links . The learners had a lot of questions and we all had a wonderful time.

We also spent our time visiting the Doing2learn site. So far 6 of our learners have joined the website and received notifications about the activity carried out within the project. In this way our learners are better informed about what we are doing and read daily about the work of all your groups .

For the next meeting they will also try to read, in English, about "How computer works". The picture and videos are really helpful.

The Romanian group will continue the ICT and English courses after a small spring break . Until now 4 of our learners are working at several How to courses. After the Easter holiday we will start to film the courses. I can hardly wait. I've notice that all of you are doing a wonderful job with your group; it's very motivated for us to read all what you are doing. Your blog posts and the uploaded courses are really useful for us.
