Reports and other activities

Dear all,

I've notice that everyone is working really hard on these last activities . We are also struggling with some final adjustments of the film, but manage until now to keep everything under control. Thank you for all the materials sent!

- During this week I will upload a part of the film.

- Thank you Shan for checking the learning guide. Please, if possible, send me all your remarks and I will make sure everything is ok until the end of next week.

- Some of the institutions involved in the dissemination process are really interested to apply the learning programme with other groups and people +50 that spend their time in a day care centre for older people. Wonderful!

- Shan I know that selecting Romanian words can be a challenge. We also tried to read some of the feed-backs included on the post-its and manage to understand some of them, mainly English, Italian and of course Romanian. They will be included in the film. In the attached documents you can see some of the messages. As soon as you have others as well I will include them in the film as weel.

- I've saw the photos from the meeting (thank you Christine for sending me the link!) and just want to say congratulations to all of you for all your hard work carried out.

- The new design of the website look great!

Kind regards,

Tina

Feedback Kis Valeria - EN

Hello again,

I will upload the feedback from one of our learners, Kis Valeria regarding the learning experience within the project and the Learning weekend:

"My name is Kis Valeria, from Romania, Timisoara. I have never dreamed at crossing the sea, but this happened and I'm now very happy. An old Romanian saying stipulates that - as long as you live, you learn, and I think that these words reflect very well the aim of this project. Through all the activities implemented I have realized how important is to learn at any age how to communicate through modern methods and in English. It's wonderful how you can communicate with people from different areas that are so different from you, but also so similar and how all the distances seem so small through the use of new technology. All my respect for the people from Wales that have manage to conserve their history and historical monuments. Thank you for all!"

Feedback Kis Valeria

ICT course with the Romanian group

The Romanian learners restarted their learning activity and meet for a new ICT course. They want to continue learning more and become mentors for others as well. Being part of different groups, they spared the information about the D2L project. Now we have a lot of people that want to join our group and thing how to divide them into different series and organised EN and ICT courses for them.

The learners feel now empowered to try different new experiences and remained very close to the organisation.

Courses availabale in RO

Dear all,

How are you? I will miss very much all of you, but still hope to have the chance to hear you on Friday!

Regarding our work during these last weeks, I can say that we were very busy, but manage to do a lot of work within the project.

ICT courses

For the moment I just want to inform you that all the ICT courses are now available in Romanian language and people can access the information more easy. It was quite challenging to translate all the courses and find the right words that better express Internet and other ICT components. I couldn't translate the following courses/child pages from EN to RO: How to send an e-mail with a picture?, How to record the voice?, How can I get the coice recorded to my computer?, How can I listen the voice to my computer? For these courses I could't find the Translate option. Could you have a look Christine? thank you!

How to courses

As you can notice, two Romanian courses are uploaded both in EN and RO. We still have two courses that will be translated into EN soon. Lili and Valeria worked hard in order to creat the two courses in the two versions and are very enthusiastic about this, but we also couldn't translate the entire course - Customs and traditions from Mehedinti becouse of the same problem. When it will be possible we will solve this issue.

A big hug for all of you,

Regards,

Tina

Program de vara

Buna tuturor,

Ce mai faceti? Cum este in vacanta/concediul de vara? Doamna Kis a fost foarte activa in aceasta perioada si am reusit impreuna sa punem o parte din cursul despre obiceiurile din Mehedinti pe site in limba engleza, iar Lili este inca la mama ei si va reveni in data de 10 august in Timisoara. sper ca toata lumea se bucura de aceste zile de vara si se fereste de temperaturile prea ridicate. Poate in perioada urmatoare vom reusi sa ne vedem la o inghetata, fresh sau altele in frumosul oras, Timisoara!

Cu drag,

Tina

"After a lovely journey from Timisoara to Budapest by car and after that by plan from Budapest to Birmingham, we have arrived well in Wales, were we had a pleasent surprise and spent some wonderful days in the company of some really wonderful people. I was impressed by the places that we visited and the people that we have meet. It was a great opportunity for me to have the chance to visit this beautiful places (that I only saw in the movies), to meet new and interesting people from other countries, to talk in English and to make new friends".
