The Rear Backrest

Turn the chair over to be able to work well on the backside of the back rest.

Place the Fabric

Take the axis of the backside of the back rest at the bottom and top.

Pleat the fabric, place it at the edge of the wooden frame, then tack in the middle and on each side.

Pleat the fabric to be able to staple it. Remove the tacks and turn over the fabric to be able to put and staple diagonally the carton paper, that has been cut to the right dimension beforehand.

The fabric is still turned over, as the Dacron wrapping is below the fabric.

Staple the Dacron Wrapping

Cut the Dacron wrapping to the necessary dimension and place it on the back rest. Staple the Dacron first at the bottom and then at the top, then on the sides.

Cut the remainders of the Dacron with scissors.

Once finished, you can put the fabric normally again and place the chair on the ground.

Staple the Fabric

Stretch the fabric, still caressing it by hand, and tack the fabric first at the axis, making sure it is straight. You have to stretch well in height. Tack the fabric also on each side, making sure that it is all straight.

To staple everything, use the staples of 6mm. Start at the top of the back rest, beginning in the middle towards the ends, all whilst stretching in height. Staple the sides whilst stretching the fabric from bottom to top.

Cut the fabric at the staples to not make a bulge with the other fabric.
