Place the Dacron
To avoid the rubbing of the fabric on the muslin, it is best to place a synthetic Dacron wrapping in between.
Staple the front side first and then at the back, and continue with cutting the corners and stapling the sides to finish.
Place and Stretch the Fabric
Take the axis of the fabric by making a small incision.
Place the fabric on the seat and check if the cuts of the fabric correspond to the axis of the seat. Tack the fabric in the middle and stretch the fabric whilst tacking the fabric with tacks. Start with the front side and continue in the back. Don't stretch too much at once.
Pleat the Back Corners
Fold the fabric at the corners and make a cut of 45° leaving 1cm in the back of the frame of the seat to be able to fold the fabric for the finish below the seat.
Pleat the Front Corners
Cut a little more fabric, going over the front corners. Fold the fabric and then tack it. When you do this, it is recommended to place a pin at the angle to avoid cutting the fabric too short.
Tack the outer corners and cut the triangle of the fabric that is left over, then shorten the length.
Pleat the fabric on the inside below the seat, then the fabric on the front over the one on the inside to shape the front pleat.
