Final evaluation report

I just read Lorella's final report, she really hit the nail on the head: our weak points in that project were communication, common dissemination, respect of deadlines and the project management. This weaknessess influenced deeply my enhusiasm about the project even though, I got very good response from our local participants.

Smartphone course and communication book

Writing the final report sections I was checking again every result we produced and published online at our site. That drives me to insert some cartoons into the communciation book to make that book a bot more lively

I hope you like it too?

Also, I created the smartphone course, last week already. The content is completely different, so please check your translations.

Personal reflection

Time for reflections, after two years of a very lively and intensive project work.
We had a good time together, we were able to deal in a good way with all the challenges and not so good things which came up during that time. This project, from my point of view, is a rare example of fruitful exchange of ideas, mutual respect and honesty. We had an open atmosphere, were criticism was allowed and really welcomed, and I guess each of us did a step in personal development.
Our learners sensed our good vibrations and were motivated by us to be engaged in a very active way.

I am doing these European educational projects since 2003 and in most of the projects we were responsible for the ICT part. For me, it's a crucial basic competence to learn to discover the sense and meaning of modern ICT tools, learn to deal with and use them.

ICT courses

The last two days I checked, corrected, complemented and reordered all ICT courses except the "how-to-use-a-digital-voice-recorder" and the "how-to-use-mobile-phones" course.

So far, there were only some Romanian translations. I reordered also the existing translations and I already informed Tina to check the changed content and change also the translation.

I did the correction because of some inaccuracies and changed some content into a more general view. I thought that might be necessary to do as we all want to use these courses further.

Some important points are not included (formats and sizes of digital content), but that we can add later, in the houses project

The two courses I haven't changed, are, for my understanding, technically not really up-to-date anymore. I guess, our learners know in principal what a mobile phone is, we should not underestimate them. What is described there is old technology, still in use but it might be better to describe the meaning of smart phones then old fashioned mobile phones.

I hope you agree on what I have done and it will help the project.

Restructuring the site

As we discussed long time ago, I finally restructured the menu of the site a bit. the aim was to channel visitors interest directly to what we have produced: the course, the books and to learners corner.

Therefore, I created a new page "About" and sublink the project description, partners, dissemination and evaluation. There is no change in the procedure of adding dissemination activities.

Let me know, what do think about these changes.

Meeting in Fitou

We still have some weeks time until we meet here in Fitou but I want to give you some information regarding our meeting.

I booked 3 double and two single rooms for you at a symphatic bed&breakfast in Fitou for about 44 Euros, breakfast inclcuded. I calculate that Shan & Sheila, Tina & Adela, Marta& Paulina don't mind to share a room. For Sara and Camilla are the single rooms. If you have any other wishes, please let me know.
To be sure who is coming when, please fill in the attendance form.

Even though we will meet for two days only, I would like to show you as much as possible from our region to let you go home with beautiful impressions. You know, we live in a wine making region and therefore it's obvious to get deeper in touch with that tradition. Cecile from Domaine Revelh, who is going to create a how-to course about wine making, would love to show you her vineyards, let you help a bit harvesting and of course, smell and taste the wines. In that way, we all will turn into learners of her course for one morning.

For the rest of the time, the program will be written as soon as Camilla is back from her holidays.

However, any wishes or comments are very welcome.

Enjoy the summer, see you soon!

Confiture d'abricots

I probably told you that I am enthused about Martine's confiture d'abricots. It is the most delicious confiture I have ever eaten.

Today, early in the morning we, Martine and I, started producing the confiture. We are late this year, because the sun was not really strong enough to mature the fruits before.
Look, what we have done so far here. We'll continue tomorrow.

Saturday morning work

I just started writing the application for the Wise Award - a lot of work but I'll finish that until next Tuesday and than discuss it with Isabell. She makes it round and perfect Eye-wink

Hagen just implemented the blogentries from our project into our company website, a great dissemination act. That website has about 255.000 pageviews per month!
