As all know, we applyed for the Wise award during the summer. I am sorry to have to tell you that unfortunately we were not chosen to take part.

Dear Applicant,

On behalf of Qatar Foundation, we would like to thank you for your participation in the 2010 edition of the WISE Awards.

The Pre-Jury has now completed its evaluation of the hundreds of applications received from 89 countries.

Unfortunately, your submission has not been shortlisted for further evaluation by the International Jury, in spite of the quality of your project.

The 30 selected finalists will soon be announced on www.wise-qatar.org and will be asked to submit a detailed submission for the second stage of the Awards, before nomination of the six Laureates in November.

We sincerely hope you will take part in future editions of the WISE Awards and, in the meantime, wish you every success with your project!

Hi all, hope you have not forgot our Skypemeeting later today, 4 pm Finnish time see you online

Today we continued the how to course about how to crochet and also worked a little bit on the computer. I have to say that I am so proud of my learners who have uploaded pictures to the web and also filmed the working process.

I wish you all a wonderful Easter time.

Now off to buy some yarn for tonigths how 2 course so we can start to make crochet blankets, just the way my grandmother did it

Doing2Learn är ett spännande Europeiskt projekt där deltagarna delar med sig av sin praktiska erfarenhet, kunskap och  lär sig samtidigt nya inlärningsätt. Målgruppen för projektet är vuxna över 50 år.

Projektet är ett samarbete mellan sex Europeiska utbildningsenheter som arbetar med lokala samhällsgrupper. Detta tvååriga projekt omfattar organisationer och universitet i Wales, Italien, Rumänien, Tyskland och Slovakien.
